LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County has awarded a $7,580 economic development grant to the Lambertville Chamber of Commerce to help launch a new tourism initiative promoting the city and its businesses.
The Explore Lambertville brand will include a new logo and visual identity, an updated website and social media presence, and directional signs intended to help visitors navigate the city and find local businesses and attractions, according to the Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioners Jeff Kuhl and Susan J. Soloway, co-liaisons to the county Department of Economic Development and Tourism, said the initiative is intended to strengthen Lambertville’s tourism presence and support its local economy.
“Lambertville is one of Hunterdon County’s most distinctive destinations, with a vibrant downtown, unique businesses and restaurants, arts and cultural attractions, and a strong sense of community,” said Kuhl. “This grant will help Lambertville build on those strengths by creating a unified brand and making it easier for visitors to discover everything the city has to offer.”
The Lambertville Chamber of Commerce will use part of the funding to update its website and social media presence with information about businesses, attractions, events, restaurants, shopping and other activities.
The initiative will also include directional signage throughout Lambertville to help visitors locate businesses and other destinations.
“Tourism and economic development are closely connected, and investments that encourage visitors to explore our communities can translate directly into greater support for local businesses,” said Soloway. “Explore Lambertville will give the city new tools to showcase its unique character while encouraging visitors to spend more time discovering its shops, restaurants, attractions, and amenities.”
County officials said the project is part of broader efforts to promote tourism, support small businesses and encourage visitors to explore communities throughout Hunterdon County.
“Lambertville already has a tremendous story to tell,” Kuhl added. “Explore Lambertville will help bring that story together under a recognizable identity that can strengthen the city’s appeal and support its businesses for years to come.”
The funding was provided through Hunterdon County’s economic development grant program, which supports local communities and organizations pursuing projects intended to promote tourism and economic growth.
