Boat Regulation Commission to hold public meeting at Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club

MOUNT ARLINGTON, N.J. (Morris County) — The New Jersey Boat Regulation Commission will hold a public meeting at the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club in Mount Arlington on Sept. 9, 2026, according to the New Jersey State Police.

The meeting will take place at noon at the yacht club, located at 75 North Bertrand Road. It is one of several public meetings scheduled statewide by the commission throughout 2026 and one of only two meetings not scheduled for the standard 10 a.m. start time.

The Boat Regulation Commission oversees boating regulations and marine safety matters across New Jersey waterways. Officials said formal action may be taken during any of the scheduled meetings.

The commission’s 2026 schedule also includes meetings in Camden, Ocean City, Beach Haven and Toms River. A meeting previously scheduled for July 8 has been canceled.

Meeting agendas will be posted on the New Jersey State Police website and at State Police headquarters in West Trenton prior to each session.

Under the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, the meetings are open to the public and do not require advance registration or RSVP.
