MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled Wednesday in five Morris County municipalities following an increase in adult mosquito populations, according to the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control.
Weather permitting, crews will treat wooded areas using all-terrain vehicles from 4 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the following locations:
- Montville: Horseneck Road, including Community Park and the amphitheater
- Florham Park: Elm Street, including Emmett Field and Volunteers Memorial Park
- Pequannock: Jefferson Street, including Washington Park
- Lincoln Park: Gettysburg Way
Crews will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient etofenprox.
A separate truck-mounted mosquito treatment is scheduled in Wharton from 8:30 p.m. Wednesday until 1 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
The Wharton treatment is scheduled for Pondview Drive, West Union Turnpike, Deena Drive, Hoffman Drive, Duck Pond Drive, Woodport Road, Mirror Lake Road, Bear Claw Road, Julia Drive, Magnolia Drive, Bernard Court, Hawk Drive, Horse Shoe Drive, Red Fox Drive, Courtnay Lane, Spruce Drive, Jessica Lane, Thaddeus Lane, Sandy Lane, Rosebud Lane, Blue Mountain Drive, Dove Drive, Laurie Drive, Turtleback Drive, Tadpole Drive, Ringwood Drive, Echolake Drive, Freddie Way, Eagles Nest Drive, Butterfly Drive, Deer Path Drive, Overlook Drive, Hillside Terrace, Eastview, Upper Way, Treetops and Westview.
The truck-mounted treatment will also use either Anvil 2+2 or Zenivex E4.
