HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Crowds turned out Sunday for the Hackettstown Rotary’s annual Memorial Motor Madness Car Show, held after storms forced organizers to postpone the event from its original May date.
The car show was held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Mars Snacking headquarters at 800 High St. in Hackettstown. The Rotary worked with sponsor Mars Snacking to secure the Sept. 6 date following the weather postponement.
The family-friendly event featured hundreds of cars across multiple vehicle classes, including antique cars from 1940 through 1979, antique trucks, muscle cars, foreign sports cars and a special Corvette class.
Music was provided by Doc South and S.C.3. Entertainment, while food trucks and retail vendors were also on hand throughout the event.
Proceeds from Memorial Motor Madness support more than 40 community organizations and programs that receive funding from the Hackettstown Rotary Foundation.
Beneficiaries include the Joan Knechel Cancer Center at Hackettstown Medical Center, The Arc of Warren County, local high school scholarships, The Foodshed Alliance, Hackettstown Library, Abilities, local food pantries, Habitat for Humanity and Operation Chillout, among others.
Major sponsors included John Johnson Auto Group, Warren Community College, Edward Jones Investments, Mars Snacking, NJ Foot & Ankle Institute and WRNJ Radio.
