RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — County College of Morris will host an open house Saturday, Oct. 17, for prospective students, parents, adult learners and veterans to explore the college’s academic programs, facilities and student services.
The open house will run from 9 a.m. to noon at CCM’s campus at 214 Center Grove Road in Randolph. Sessions will begin at 9, 9:30 and 10 a.m., and advance registration is required.
Visitors will have an opportunity to meet faculty and staff and learn about more than 100 associate degree, certificate and professional programs offered on campus, fully online and in hybrid formats.
Students interested in careers in comics, illustration and graphic storytelling can also learn about The Joe Kubert School at CCM, which was recently acquired by the college. Representatives from the school will be available to discuss its programs and opportunities.
Tours of classrooms, labs, studios and performance spaces will be offered throughout the event. Admissions and financial aid professionals will also be available to answer questions and assist prospective students with the enrollment process.
A special session will be offered for people who started college but have not completed their degree. Representatives from the Veterans Resource Center and transfer, career, tutoring and accessibility services will also be available.
Visitors can meet current CCM students and learn about more than 50 clubs, student government and Division II and III athletics.
Those ready to enroll can receive assistance from enrollment specialists and academic advisers, including a free application for an admission waiver, a $30 savings, for admission to the college-credit program and help with registration.
Classes are still available for the fall semester, with a seven-week session beginning Oct. 22. Those interested in noncredit programs can meet with representatives from CCM’s Center for Workforce Development and register for courses.
Everyone attending the open house will be entered for a chance to win a CCM Campus Store gift card for books, supplies and college apparel.
