Person reports being bitten by snake at Worthington State Forest, NJDEP says
HARDWICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A person reported being bitten by a snake at Worthington State Forest on Sunday and went to a hospital for treatment, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
NJDEP said New Jersey State Park Police dispatch received a call Sunday, Sept. 13, from an individual who reported being bitten and had self-transported to a hospital.
Because state park police received the report after the individual was already at the hospital, officers were not directly involved in the reported incident, according to NJDEP.
The type of snake involved is unknown, and the person’s condition was not available.
