JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Nutley woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree in Jefferson Township earlier this month, according to police.
Jefferson Township police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Prospect Road and Route 181 at about 12:45 a.m. Sept. 6.
Police found the vehicle off the roadway after it had struck a tree. The driver, identified as Jasmin Laim, 41, of Nutley, was not injured in the crash.
Following an investigation, police determined Laim was allegedly under the influence of an intoxicating substance. She was given field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested, police said.
Laim was charged with driving while intoxicated and other motor vehicle offenses. She was processed and released to a family member.
