WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced recalls involving mattresses, children’s products, lithium-ion battery devices and other consumer goods because of fire, burn, poisoning, tip-over and other safety hazards.

The recalled mattresses violate the mandatory flammability standard for mattresses, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled mattresses immediately and contact ZCK01 for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy the mattress by writing in permanent marker “Recalled,” their name and the date on mattress’ top surface, and to email a photo of the destroyed mattress to keysup123@163.com. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with local and/or state disposal procedures.

The helmets in the recalled sets violate the mandatory safety standard for bicycle helmets because the helmets do not comply with the impact attenuation, retention system, positional stability, labeling and certification requirements. The helmets can fail to protect the user in the event of a crash, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to head injury.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the helmets immediately and contact 5Color for a full refund of the set. Consumers will be asked to destroy the recalled helmet by cutting the straps and email a photo of the destroyed helmet to FiveColorCS@163.com. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled helmet. Consumers may keep the protection pads.

Hazard:
The recalled fuel containers violate the mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, posing a deadly flame jetting hazard. Furthermore, the methanol container is not child-resistant as required under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, posing a risk of serious injury or death if the contents are swallowed by young children. The containers also do not comply with the labeling requirements of the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the fuel containers immediately and contact Hyperfuels for a full refund or a replacement product. Consumers will be asked to destroy the fuel container by writing in permanent maker “RECALLED” on the product and to send a photo to sales@hyperfuels.com. Consumers should then dispose of the recalled product in accordance with local and/or state disposal procedures.
Note: Recalled methanol and ethanol fuel should be disposed of in accordance with any local and state regulations, contact your local hazardous waste treatment center or inquire about professional recycling points. Do not dispose of methanol or ethanol in sewers, rainwater pipes or ordinary garbage cans to avoid causing fires or environmental pollution.

The recalled children’s toys violate the mandatory standard for toys because they contain button cell batteries and the compartments that hold the batteries can be easily accessed by children, posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children. When button cell and coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled light-up toys immediately and contact ABC Trading for a refund. Consumers will be asked to email recallabc@gmail.com a photograph showing the product being disposed of in the trash.
Note: Button cell batteries are hazardous. Batteries should be disposed of or recycled by following local hazardous waste procedures.

NEWDERY Power Banks Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazards; Risk of Serious Injury; Sold on Amazon
Hazard:
The lithium-ion battery in the power banks can explode or ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.
Remedy:
Consumers should stop using the recalled power banks immediately and contact NEWDERY for instructions on how to receive a full refund. To receive a refund, consumers will be required to submit a photo of their recalled power bank showing the model number, serial number and the word “recalled” and the consumer’s last name written on the power bank in permanent marker. Consumers will also be required to confirm disposal of the power bank in accordance with applicable laws and regulations before receiving a refund.
Note: Do not throw this lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or in used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire.
