Raritan Township siblings raise $7,000 for Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Raritan Township siblings Shiven and Saanvi Bansal raised $7,000 for Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center through their seventh annual neighborhood charity car wash.
The siblings hosted the fundraiser Sunday, Aug. 30, in their family’s driveway, where friends, neighbors and volunteers washed 69 vehicles to support local cancer care.
The fundraiser was organized through the siblings’ ShivSaa Foundation. With this year’s proceeds, the foundation has contributed approximately $26,000 over seven consecutive summers.
What began as a simple idea when Shiven and Saanvi were young has grown into an annual community fundraiser supporting local families affected by cancer.
Proceeds from the siblings’ fundraising efforts help the Hunterdon Health Foundation fund programs, patient comfort items and support services for people receiving treatment.
The siblings created the ShivSaa Foundation as a way to support local families facing cancer diagnoses while learning about responsibility, compassion and community service.
The Hunterdon Health Foundation thanked the ShivSaa Foundation, its volunteers and community members who supported this year’s fundraiser.
Foundation officials said Shiven and Saanvi’s continued efforts demonstrate how consistent local action can make a lasting impact on cancer care in Hunterdon County.
