Man charged with drug possession after traffic stop in Morris County

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Lake Hopatcong man was arrested Thursday night after police said they found suspected drugs and paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop in Mount Olive Township.

On Sept. 18 around 8:50 p.m., officers stopped a Ford pickup truck driven by Edwin J. Wendlocher III, 32, as part of an ongoing investigation, according to police.

During the stop, Wendlocher was found with two plastic baggies containing powder residue, police said. A further search turned up an additional baggie of powdery residue, 17.5 tablets of Pro-Superdrol, one bottle of Sustanon, 49 pills of Pregabalin, five baggies of suspected crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Wendlocher was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with possession of CDS Schedule I-IV and possession of paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court hearing.
