Authorities seek public’s help after cat found abandoned in carrier in Somerset County
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — Franklin Township Animal Control is asking for the public’s help in identifying the owner of a cat that was found abandoned in a carrier outside a Somerset County nursing home.
According to animal control officials, the black-and-white cat was discovered by a Good Samaritan in the parking lot of the Regency Jewish Heritage Nursing Home, located at 380 DeMott Lane in Franklin Township.
Anyone with information about the cat or its owner is asked to contact Franklin Township Animal Control at 732-873-2500, extension 6255, or email AnimalShelter@FranklinNJ.gov. Officials said all calls and emails can remain anonymous.
