Morris County-based Gallery Collection donates 20,000 holiday cards to support U.S. military community
LANDING, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County-based Gallery Collection is continuing its support of U.S. troops, veterans and military families by donating 20,000 greeting cards to Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge for the 2026 holiday season.
The company also held its first employee card-signing event earlier this year, giving employees an opportunity to write personal messages of gratitude, encouragement and support for members of the military community.
The signed cards will join thousands of others collected from individuals, businesses, schools and community organizations nationwide as part of the annual holiday campaign.
According to Gallery Collection, the donation continues a longstanding partnership with Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge that has included greeting card contributions and financial assistance to help cover postage costs.
Including its 2026 contribution, Gallery Collection has donated nearly 50,000 greeting cards to the organization for participants to personalize and send to troops, veterans and military families.
“A greeting card may seem like a small gesture, but a personal message can remind someone that their service and sacrifice are remembered,” said Leslie Leifer, CMO of Gallery Collection. “Giving our employees the opportunity to write those messages themselves made this partnership especially meaningful for our team.”
The May 13 event marked the first time Gallery Collection employees participated in a dedicated card-signing event for the organization.
Rather than simply providing the cards, employees were able to write their own messages to military personnel, veterans and their families.
Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge began as a family card-signing tradition in 2003 before expanding into a nationwide effort.
The nonprofit organization was formally established in 2018 and focuses on collecting and delivering personalized messages of appreciation, respect and support to members of the military community.
In 2026, the organization is working toward a milestone of sending its 2 millionth card.
Gallery Collection’s donation of 20,000 greeting cards will contribute to that effort and support the organization’s annual holiday card distribution.
The company said its continued involvement reflects its commitment to recognizing military service through personal messages of appreciation and encouragement.
