HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Elks Lodge 2331 and Blue Star Mothers of North Warren, New Jersey, are inviting community members to participate in a packing party to assemble care packages for deployed U.S. Marines.
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 14, at 4 p.m. at Hackettstown Elks Lodge 2331, located at 210 Mountain Ave. in Hackettstown.
Volunteers will help pack boxes containing personal care items, snacks and treats for a group of deployed Marines. The event is open to everyone, and organizers are encouraging community members to participate in the effort to support military personnel serving away from home.
The packing party is being organized by the Hackettstown Elks in partnership with the Blue Star Mothers of North Warren, an organization associated with families of military service members.
Donations are also appreciated to help provide items for the care packages. Organizers have established an Amazon wish list for those interested in contributing supplies.
The wish list is available on Amazon.
Community members interested in helping can attend the packing party at the Hackettstown Elks Lodge on Nov. 14.
