Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad selected for 2025 Lowe’s Hometowns Project
GREEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Allamuchy-Green First Aid Squad has been selected as one of 100 community-nominated recipients of the 2025 Lowe’s Hometowns initiative, a nationwide program supporting large-scale renovations of nonprofit and community spaces.
The fully volunteer emergency medical service will receive funding to modernize its outdated facility, including renovations to its meeting room and restrooms, improvements in energy efficiency, and enhancements to create a more welcoming environment for volunteers. The project is expected to help recruit and retain members, ultimately improving response times and benefiting the approximately 11,000 residents and thousands of motorists who rely on the squad’s services.
“We are immensely grateful for this opportunity, as this project will allow us to finally renovate our long-outdated building,” the squad said in a statement. “It will have an immense impact on our organization and will greatly benefit the community.”
“These improvements will help us recruit new members and retain our current team,” the statement continued, “ultimately benefiting the approximately 11,000 residents in our direct community and the thousands of motorists who traverse our roads each day, through increased response rates and faster response times.”
The 2025 Lowe’s Hometowns program is part of the company’s five-year, $100 million commitment to repair and restore millions of square feet of community space across the United States.
“We look forward to sharing the progress of this experience with our community members,” the squad said. “We appreciate your continuous support of our organization.”
