ArcMorris honors 20 champions of disability inclusion at annual awards gala

WHIPPANY, N.J. (Morris County) — ArcMorris recognized 20 individuals and organizations for their exceptional contributions to the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) at its Annual Awards Gala, held May 28 at Birchwood Manor in Whippany.

The event celebrated staff members, advocates, caregivers, and community partners who embody ArcMorris’ mission of fostering inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for people with disabilities throughout Morris County.

“Our award recipients are living proof that inclusion, compassion, and community support make a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities,” said Sal Moran, CEO and executive director of ArcMorris. “We are proud to honor their contributions and continue our work toward a world of greater dignity and opportunity for all.”

In addition to recognizing the honorees, the gala raised vital funds to support ArcMorris programs and services. The event was supported by a number of sponsors, including:

ArcMorris is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with I/DD and their families through a wide range of community-based programs and services in Morris County.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
