Arrest made after brief pursuit in Sussex County, police say

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — The Andover Township Police Department said an individual was taken into custody Friday night after a brief pursuit that traveled through Green Township.

Police said the situation was “safely resolved” and emphasized that there is no threat to the public. Officers did not release information about the person arrested or the circumstances leading to the pursuit.

According to the department, the incident is part of an ongoing multi-jurisdictional investigation. Because that investigation remains active, no additional details are being released at this time. Police said further information will be provided when appropriate.

In a statement, the department thanked residents for their patience during the incident and for their cooperation.
