Assemblyman Michael Inganamort inducted into Eagle Scout Hall of Fame

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Patriots’ Path Council of Scouting America has announced the induction of Assemblyman Michael Inganamort into the Eagle Scout Hall of Fame, an honor recognizing Eagle Scouts who have achieved distinguished professional success and demonstrated a lifelong commitment to community service and Scouting.

Inganamort earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 1999 as a member of Troop 95 in Sparta. More than two decades later, he continues to reflect the values of Scouting in both his public and personal life.

Currently representing New Jersey’s 24th Legislative District — covering Morris, Sussex and Warren counties — Inganamort serves in the New Jersey General Assembly, where he is a member of the Environment, Oversight, and Transportation committees. He is also active in the Legislative Manufacturing Caucus and serves as co-chair of the Angling and Hunting Conservation Caucus.

A former mayor of Chester Township, Inganamort focused his administration on fiscal responsibility, shared services, and community engagement. His six years on the township council, including three as council president, earned him recognition from the New Jersey League of Municipalities as a “Municipal Pioneer.” His career also includes service in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Beyond his legislative work, Inganamort maintains strong ties to the Scouting community. He serves as a merit badge counselor for Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, and Citizenship in the World, and frequently attends Eagle Scout Courts of Honor in his district.

“Scouting has been a foundational part of my life,” said Inganamort. “To be recognized by the Patriots’ Path Council and to join the Eagle Scout Hall of Fame is a tremendous honor. I am grateful for the values Scouting instilled in me and for the opportunity to give back to the organization and community that mean so much to me.”
