Briarwood Derby Day benefit returns June 7 to support Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center

TITUSVILLE, N.J. (Mercer County) — Riders, families and supporters will gather June 7 at Duncraven Stables for the annual Briarwood Derby Day, an equestrian event that raises funds for local cancer patients.

The event, hosted by Katie Benson in memory of her late husband, Jack Benson, serves as both a competition and a fundraiser benefiting Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center.

Organizers said the event honors Jack Benson’s legacy while helping ensure patients in the community receive high-quality care and support services.

Festivities are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., with young riders competing throughout the day. Spectators and attendees will have the opportunity to make real-time pledges during the event to support cancer care programs.

Last year’s Briarwood Derby Day raised $19,437, and organizers hope to build on that momentum this year.
