Byram Fire Department and local first responders honored for life-saving actions at ShopRite

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — The Byram Fire Department proudly announced that several of its members, along with responders from the Lakeland Emergency Squad and the Byram Police Department, were recognized for their heroic efforts in saving a life during an incident at ShopRite.

At Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting, Byram Fire Department Lt. Diliberto, DPW Supervisor and Firefighter Orgera, along with members of Lakeland EMS and the Byram Police Department, were honored for their quick thinking and teamwork that ultimately resulted in a life saved. The incident showcased the dedication and professionalism of these first responders.

“We are incredibly proud of the swift actions and commitment to excellence displayed by our members and our partners in the Lakeland Emergency Squad and Byram Police Department,” the Byram Fire Department stated. “Their collaborative efforts in responding to this emergency situation truly exemplify teamwork.”

The Byram Fire Department is also looking for volunteers interested in serving their community. Those who wish to get involved are encouraged to reach out for more information.
