Car crashes into nail salon on Route 46 in Morris County; no injuries reported

ROCKAWAY BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — A vehicle crashed into a nail salon in Rockaway Borough on Tuesday morning, causing extensive damage and forcing the business to close, according to the Rockaway Borough Fire Department.

Fire officials said crews were dispatched at about 8 a.m. to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a building at Abe’s Bagels, 399 Route 46. On arrival, responders determined the crash had occurred at the nail salon next door, the department said.

The vehicle went through the front of the business, causing significant damage, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.

The nail salon will remain closed until further notice, the department said. A construction official determined the rest of the strip mall’s businesses can remain open, according to the department.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
