HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Centenary University will welcome prospective students and their families to campus for its Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will give prospective students an opportunity to explore academic programs, meet faculty and current students, tour the campus and learn about admissions, financial aid and student life.
“Choosing a university is about finding a place where you feel supported and can see a future for yourself,” said Kathleen Greco, Dean of Enrollment, Centenary University. “Our Open House gives students and families the chance to meet the people who will support them, explore their interests, and discover how Centenary can help them turn their goals into opportunities.”
Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a student and alumni success panel at 10 a.m. An academic brunch and department showcase will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a welcome experience at noon, campus tours at 12:30 p.m. and interactive academic experiences beginning at 1:15 p.m.
Centenary offers programs through its Department of Equine Studies and Animal Health, Department of Theatre Arts, School of Business, Media and Writing, School of Education and Humanities, and School of Natural, Health, Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Academic offerings include cybersecurity, data analytics, computer science, digital humanities, theatre arts, health sciences, nursing and specialized equine and animal health programs.
The university’s RN to BSN program recently earned accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Centenary also has a 12-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio and offers traditional, online, evening and accelerated courses.
“Hands-on learning is a defining part of the Centenary experience,” Greco said. “Students have opportunities to apply classroom knowledge through internships, research, experiential learning, and discipline-specific experiences.”
Seven Centenary students received scholarships in 2026 supporting undergraduate research and presented their independent research at the Independent Colleges and Universities of New Jersey Undergraduate Research Symposium, according to the university.
During the open house, prospective students and their families will also be able to learn about residence life, athletics, student organizations, clubs, Greek life and other campus activities.
Registration is required for the Fall Open House and is available through Centenary University’s website.
