Commissioner Kuhl attends Prevention Resources open house in Flemington

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Commissioner Jeff Kuhl joined community members on Tuesday, June 3, for the second annual Prevention Resources Open House, held at 5 East Main Street in Flemington. The event offered an opportunity for residents to connect with staff, explore available programs, and build stronger community partnerships through education and outreach.

The open house featured a complimentary lunch, networking opportunities, and presentations highlighting the organization’s wide range of services, including substance use prevention, outpatient treatment, early intervention support, and youth programming.

“Prevention Resources isn’t just about programs — it’s about people,” said Kuhl. “Every initiative is rooted in the belief that a strong community is built through education, support, and collaboration. Today’s open house reinforces that when we come together, we create real, lasting change.”

Prevention Resources works to promote dignity and wellness through evidence-based education, policy advocacy, and community-driven initiatives. Their services also include a Drug-Free Task Force, a Law Enforcement Adolescent Program, and the Hunterdon County Youth Coalition.

Kuhl praised the staff and volunteers for their work in organizing the event. “Seeing so many people engage with these services reinforces the importance of supporting local resources that make a difference in people’s lives and reducing the stigma associated with seeking help,” he said.
