Commissioner Rich attends the ‘Friends of Hunterdon County Library’ 2025 Book Drive

EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Commissioner Zach Rich recently attended the 2025 Friends of Hunterdon County Library (FOHCL) Book Drive at the South County Park Fairgrounds. The final collection day for the drive is Saturday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the same location in East Amwell Township.

“The Friends of Hunterdon County Library have once again organized another successful book drive! Their continued hard work and dedication to this annual event ensures that residents from across the community have a sustainable way to recycle and reuse books and periodical items that are no longer needed,” Rich said.

The book drive aims to collect gently used books, as well as additional items such as audiobooks on CD, DVDs, music CDs, video games, puzzles, and sheet music.

Additional drop-off opportunities are available at the Headquarters Library (314 State Route 12, Flemington) from April 14–17, during normal business hours. No donations will be accepted after April 19, when the book drive ends.

All collected items will be sold at the 27th Annual Book Sale, scheduled for the weekend of April 26–28 at the Grange Building, South County Park Fairgrounds, in Lambertville.

Book Sale Schedule:

  • Saturday, April 26 (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM): Kick-off
  • Sunday, April 27 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM): Half-Price Day
  • Monday, April 28 (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM): $5 Bag Sale

Proceeds from the sale benefit the programs and services of the Hunterdon County Library.

“Thank you to the Friends of the Hunterdon County Library for all their continued commitment to making sure this event happens. Monies raised at the annual book sale help to support a number of important programs and resources for library patrons,” Rich said.
