Community takes the plunge at Hope Fire Department’s annual fundraiser

HOPE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Community members braved cold temperatures Saturday morning as the Hope Volunteer Fire Department hosted its third annual Polar Plunge fundraiser at Swayze Mill Park.

Participants registered beginning at 9:30 a.m., with the plunge taking place at 10:30 a.m. The $25 entry fee included T-shirts while supplies lasted.

Proceeds from the event will support the Hope Volunteer Fire Department, Station 38.

After jumping into the park’s cold waters, participants warmed up with hot drinks, hot dogs and a bonfire.
