Countdown to the centennial rivalry showdown: Pep rally, local specials, and 100 years of Hackettstown–Warren Hills football

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The countdown is on as the community gears up to celebrate 100 years of the Hackettstown–Warren Hills football rivalry with the Centennial Showdown, a weeklong celebration featuring local business specials, a community parade, pep rally, and Friday night’s highly anticipated White Out game under the lights.

Local businesses in Hackettstown are joining the festivities with Tiger-themed promotions, special menu items, and limited-edition merchandise. The celebration honors a century of football tradition that continues to unite generations of fans across both communities.

Tiger Specials

From Main Street to Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown businesses are showing their Tiger pride with themed offers and Centennial excitement:

  • Home Sweet Hackettstown (159 Main St.) – Tiger-themed glassware and Hackettstown vs. Warren Hills prints. Six-pack of glasses for $20 or $5 each.

Thursday, Oct. 23 — Parade and Pep Rally

The celebration begins Thursday evening with the Centennial Rally Walk and Community Pep Rally, giving residents a chance to show their Tiger pride before the big game.

The Rally Walk starts at 6 p.m. from Hackettstown High School to Morrison Field. Residents are encouraged to line the streets and cheer for the Tigers, cheerleaders, and band as they parade through town.

Once at Morrison Field, the community is invited to the Pep Rally, featuring performances, school spirit, and a Glow Stick Finale to light up the night sky ahead of game day.

Friday, Oct. 24 — Centennial Game Night

Friday marks a milestone — the 100th anniversary of the Hackettstown–Warren Hills rivalry.

The Tiger Zone Pre-Game Celebration will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. near the pool entrance, featuring a lineup of local food trucks, games, and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks from:

  • Marley’s Wings
  • A Slice of New Jersey
  • Twin Flames Drinkables on the Go

WRNJ Radio will be broadcasting live, interviewing fans, and capturing the excitement before kickoff at 7:15 p.m.

Pregame ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m., featuring alumni introductions by decade, Hall of Fame recognitions, and a special cheer performance.

Kickoff for the White Out Centennial Showdown is set for 7:15 p.m., when the Hackettstown Tigers take on the Warren Hills Streaks under the Friday night lights. Fans are encouraged to wear white to pack the stands and show their spirit.

Following the game, spectators can enjoy a Light Show Spectacular, celebrating a century of football, community, and pride shared between the two schools.

Postgame Celebration

The celebration continues for adults 21 and over at the Grand Avenue Tavern, which will host the Centennial After Party featuring live music, food, and drinks.
