County College of Morris to host annual backpack giveaway with Table of Hope on August 15
RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. — County College of Morris (CCM), in partnership with Table of Hope, will once again host its annual Backpack Giveaway to help Morris County families prepare for the upcoming school year. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 15, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Parking Lot 1 on CCM’s Randolph campus at 214 Center Grove Road.
The distribution is open to Morris County residents only, and pre-registration is encouraged at www.tableofhopenj.org/backpack-giveaway-registration. Backpacks filled with essential school supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. To ensure safety and efficiency, attendees must remain in their vehicles; walk-ups will not be permitted.
Now in its fifth year, the event is part of CCM’s broader community outreach initiatives in collaboration with Table of Hope. In addition to the back-to-school program, the two organizations work together each November to host a Thanksgiving food distribution event, providing holiday meals to more than 600 local families.
“Partnering with Table of Hope for this annual event reflects our commitment to changing lives and strengthening communities,” said CCM President Dr. Anthony J. Iacono. “We are proud to support families by helping ensure children have the tools they need to succeed in school.”
The event is made possible through a collaborative effort involving local and state leaders, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Alstede Farms, CCM staff and faculty, corporate sponsors, and a large team of volunteers.
Table of Hope, founded in 2011, is a Morris County-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing quality of life by addressing food insecurity and educational needs.
