Crash on I-80 in Warren County leaves driver seriously injured, state police say

HOPE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A crash involving a truck and a minivan on Interstate 80 in Warren County left a Pennsylvania driver seriously injured Monday night, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded at 7:14 p.m. to the crash on I-80 westbound near milepost 10.2 in Hope Township, state police said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner bobtail truck driven by Hussein Mohamed, 31, of South Sioux, Nebraska, and a Dodge minivan driven by Jessica Conti, 75, of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania, were traveling west when the Dodge struck the rear of the Freightliner near the milepost, state police said.

Mohamed suffered minor injuries and Conti sustained serious injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was released.
