Daycare worker accused of endangering child after infant injured at Morris County facility

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A daycare employee is accused of endangering the welfare of a child after an 11-month-old was injured while in her care at the Goddard School of Denville, police said.

On June 18, the Denville Township Police Department received a report of the incident from the child’s parents, who said the injury occurred while their infant was at the daycare facility.

Following an investigation, police said the injury resulted from neglectful actions by daycare staff member Alysha Zarzycki, 26, of Mount Arlington Borough. Authorities said their evidence indicates Zarzycki’s conduct directly led to the child’s injury.

Zarzycki was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was arrested, processed, and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, where she is being held pending a court appearance.
