DNA leads to arrest in vehicle burglary case in Warren County

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) -DNA evidence leads to arrest in vehicle burglary case in Lopatcong Township.

On January 26, 2024, police responded to a vehicle burglary in the area of Rugby Road. During the investigation, officers processed the scene and sent evidence to the NJSP Forensic Laboratory for DNA testing, police said.

The results led to the arrest of Andrew W. Petras of Phillipsburg on February 7, 2025, police said.

Petras was taken into custody by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and is currently being held at the Warren County Jail, awaiting a Superior Court hearing, police said.
