DoorDash has expanded its Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) payment options to include all SNAP-eligible Dollar Tree stores available on its platform, giving recipients access to on-demand grocery delivery from locations across 48 states.
The company said customers who add their SNAP card to the DoorDash app can purchase more than 1,000 SNAP-eligible grocery items from participating Dollar Tree stores, including pantry staples, frozen foods and other qualifying products. Orders are delivered in less than an hour on average, according to DoorDash.
DoorDash said the expansion builds on its efforts to increase access to affordable groceries for SNAP recipients. The company cited a 2025 survey of customers who recently used SNAP/EBT on the platform, in which 71% said grocery delivery helped ensure they had enough food to last the entire month.
“Affordability and convenience shouldn’t be a trade-off when shopping for food,” said Mike Goldblatt, Vice President of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash. “Adding SNAP/EBT payments at Dollar Tree on DoorDash gives consumers another way to access the grocery items their households rely on, while helping them stretch every dollar further.”
Dollar Tree CEO Mike Creedon said the expanded partnership will make it easier for customers to access food and household essentials.
“Families depend on Dollar Tree for affordable food and household essentials, and we’re always looking for ways to make shopping more accessible and convenient,” Creedon said. “Through our expanded partnership with DoorDash, SNAP recipients can now use their benefits for Dollar Tree’s broad selection – with the added convenience of on-demand delivery to meet customers where they are and support their everyday needs.”
DoorDash said more than 4.5 million consumers have added their SNAP card to the platform, which now features more than 57,000 stores that accept SNAP/EBT payments.
To use the benefit, customers can add their SNAP card under the payment section of the DoorDash app, shop for SNAP-eligible items from participating Dollar Tree stores and apply their SNAP balance during checkout. Eligible purchases are automatically applied to the customer’s SNAP benefit, while any remaining non-eligible items or fees must be paid using another accepted payment method.
