Driver accused of DWI after hitting parked vehicles, pole and mailboxes in Lopatcong Township

LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A Pennsylvania woman faces multiple charges after police said she crashed into several vehicles, a utility pole and mailboxes in Lopatcong Township early Sunday.

Officers responded around 12:11 a.m. to Stonehenge Drive, where they found a silver Chrysler van with heavy front-end damage, according to Lopatcong Township Police. The driver was identified as Nicole Dzitrie of Allentown.

Police said Dzitrie allegedly showed signs of intoxication, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. At police headquarters, she refused to provide breath samples for chemical testing.

Dzitrie was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, failure to exhibit registration and failure to exhibit insurance.

A court date in Lopatcong Municipal Court is pending.
