Driver dies days after Warren County crash

WHITE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 68-year-old driver seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash earlier this month in White Township has died at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, officials said.

Lynda K. McConnell of Oxford Township died on Sunday, January 26, at 7:39 p.m. from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. The manner of death was ruled accidental by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

The crash occurred on January 14 at around 2:11 p.m. at the intersection of County Route 519 and County Route 620, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Nissan Rogue, driven by McConnell, was traveling south on County Route 519 approaching the intersection with County Route 620. Meanwhile, a Dodge Ram was traveling north on County Route 620 approaching the intersection with County Route 519. At the intersection, McConnell failed to stop at the stop sign and entered County Route 620, colliding with the Dodge, Lebron said.

As a result of the crash, McConnell sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Dodge sustained minor injuries, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, Lebron added.
