Driver extricated after rollover crash on I-80 in Warren County

FRELINGHUYSEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Emergency crews extricated a trapped occupant following a rollover crash Sunday evening on Interstate 80 westbound in Frelinghuysen Township, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 5:04 p.m. near mile marker 18.8. Fire departments from Blairstown, Allamuchy, Hope and Byram responded to the scene after receiving reports of a rollover motor vehicle accident with entrapment.

Blairstown firefighters arrived first and began rescue operations. With assistance from Allamuchy Rescue, Hope and Byram fire departments, crews successfully freed the trapped occupant from the vehicle.

The extent of the occupant’s injuries and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
