Driver seriously injured in two-vehicle crash on Route 517 in Warren County

INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — A driver was seriously injured after losing control of a vehicle and crashing into another vehicle on Route 517 in Independence Township on Sunday, Sept. 6, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Route 517 north of QuickChek for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

A preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle traveling north on Route 517 lost control and struck a vehicle traveling in the southbound lane, police said.

The driver of the northbound vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby medical center.

No additional information was provided.
