Environmental Commission Green Fair shines through hazy weather at Dvoor Farm
RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) — Residents and environmental enthusiasts brought their green thumbs to this year’s Green Fair on May 4.
Sponsored by the Raritan Township Environmental Commission and Green Team, the Green Fair complemented the opening day of the Hunterdon Community Farmers Market at Hunterdon Land Trust’s Dvoor Farm. Despite the forecasted gloomy weather, the fair proceeded without interruption.
Eleven exhibitors showcased their organizations and shared how they help protect the local environment. Among the featured exhibits were an electric vehicle display, a community garden, a beehive demonstration, and Tank the Turtle.
Township volunteers were also active, encouraging attendees to help plant trees, remove invasive species, and maintain pollinator gardens.
