Fire crews extinguish truck fire on I-80 in Warren County

HOPE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Fire crews responded to a truck fire Sunday on Interstate 80 eastbound in Warren County and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, officials said.

Units were dispatched April 19 to I-80 eastbound in Hope Township for a reported working truck fire. Firefighters arrived and brought the fire under control.

While crews were conducting overhaul operations, the driver told firefighters that important paperwork was inside the truck and indicated where it might be located.

Firefighters searched through the debris and were able to recover the documents, which were not damaged by the fire.

No additional information, including the cause of the fire or whether there were any injuries, was immediately available.
