HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — Four Hunterdon County restaurants have been recognized among New Jersey Monthly magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants in New Jersey, highlighting the county’s growing reputation as a premier dining destination.
The restaurants honored on the statewide list are D’floret and Hadaka in Lambertville, The Stockton Inn in Stockton and The Sergeantsville Inn in Sergeantsville.
Hunterdon County Commissioner Susan Soloway, co-liaison to the Department of Economic Development & Tourism, said the recognition reflects the quality of the county’s culinary scene and its role in attracting visitors.
“Hunterdon County has long been known for its scenic beauty, historic downtowns, and welcoming communities, but it’s especially exciting to see our incredible restaurants receiving the statewide recognition they deserve,” Soloway said. “Having four restaurants named among New Jersey’s best is a testament to the talented chefs, dedicated owners, and hardworking staff who make dining in Hunterdon County such a memorable experience. Their success helps tell the story of who we are as a destination.”
County officials said the recognition comes as Hunterdon continues to promote its downtowns, wineries, breweries, farms, outdoor recreation, arts and cultural attractions. They said award-winning restaurants often encourage visitors to extend their stay and explore other businesses and attractions throughout the county.
