Free parenting skills workshops available at Project Self-Sufficiency in November

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – Parents and caregivers are invited to attend free in-person parenting skills workshops at Project Self-Sufficiency, designed to equip them with practical strategies for addressing common challenges faced in raising children.

The workshops aim to help participants identify their parenting goals, manage behavioral issues, and promote healthy child development through the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, a comprehensive initiative tailored for parents, healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers of infants, toddlers, and school-aged children.

Sessions will take place at 5:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency, where pizza and childcare will be provided for attendees. Each participant will also receive a gift card for their involvement.

The workshops will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Power of Positive Parenting – November 6th
  • Raising Resilient Children – November 13th
  • Raising Confident, Competent Children – November 20th

“These workshops will provide parents, caregivers, and educators with simple, practical strategies to build strong, healthy relationships, effectively manage children’s behavior, and reduce stress,” says Deborah Berry-Toon, Executive Director of Project Self-Sufficiency.
