Gias Foods Inc. is recalling two lots of bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart stores nationwide because of possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recall involves frozen 22-ounce packages of bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine with UPC 194346442706.
The affected products are marked with lot number L6079C and an expiration date of Sept. 19, 2027, or lot number L6080C and an expiration date of Sept. 20, 2027. The lot numbers and expiration dates are stamped on the back of the yellow packaging.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms including high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
Listeria infection can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
