
‘Go Green with Hope’ Green Fair to take place Saturday, April 26th with fun activities for all ages
HOPE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Hope Township is going green on Saturday, April 26th, as the community hosts its annual “Go Green with Hope” Green Fair, offering a full day of sustainable activities and eco-friendly events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hope Township School, located at 320 Johnsonburg Road.
The Green Fair promises something for everyone, with over 50 displays and activities at the school, including an electronics waste collection to benefit Abilities of Northern NJ, a Project Medicine Drop managed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and exciting free raffles. Children will have a chance to enjoy a fun scavenger hunt while learning about sustainability, and there will also be free books available for all ages. Local representatives from state, county, and municipal organizations will be on hand to share information about green initiatives and eco-friendly practices.
At the Community Center (5 Walnut Street), shoppers can browse unique handmade goods from local crafters who focus on sustainability and environmental consciousness. The fair continues its eco-friendly theme with an art exhibition at Moravian Distillery (6 Millbrook Road) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., showcasing the creative work of local artist Crystal White, who uses recycled and found materials to create her pieces.
Additionally, Hope Township will host its annual Town-wide Yard Sale, with participating residents opening their yards for shopping. A Google map will be provided to help shoppers find all the yard sale locations. For those looking to declutter while helping others, clothing drop-offs will be available at the Firehouse (416 Hope-Blairstown Road) and St. Luke’s Church (346 High Street).
Free workshops at the school will include:
- “The Cottage Garden” by Tom Gabel of Sunrise Farms at 10:30 a.m.
- “Native Gardens for Pollinators” by the Warren County Pollinator Protectors at 12:00 p.m.
Admission to all locations is completely free, making it a perfect opportunity for families and individuals of all ages to learn about green practices and support their local community.
