Hackettstown mayor, police meet with residents over coffee at Versac Main Street Café

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Mayor Jerry DiMaio and members of the Hackettstown Police Department joined residents Monday morning for “Coffee with the Mayor & Police” at Versac Main Street Café.

Chief Aaron Perkins, Lt. Edward Blas and Ptl. Holly Whitmore took part in the event, which invited residents to raise community concerns, ask questions and share ideas in an informal setting.

Conversations ranged from public safety to lighter topics, including a 19-year-old Hackettstown resident who asked when the town might see a Chick-fil-A.

Events like the gathering are designed to foster connections between neighbors and leaders in a relaxed environment.

“At Versac, we believe in more than just coffee. We believe in community, in connection, and in being a safe space where voices can be heard — one cup at a time,” the café said in a statement.
