Hackettstown Middle School social studies department collects 758 items in Thanksgiving food drive

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Hackettstown Middle School students surpassed their goal in a Thanksgiving food drive benefiting the Lord’s Pantry at Trinity United Methodist Church, collecting a total of 758 items, according to the Hackettstown Education Association.

The HMS social studies department organized the drive as part of the school’s 150th anniversary celebration, challenging each grade level to contribute 150 food items.

“Thank you to all the families and students who were so happy to help,” the association said. “Thank you to the HMS social studies department for your dedication to your school and your town. Super job all around!”
