Hackettstown MUA addresses July billing issue, requests public hold questions until week of July 7
The Hackettstown Municipal Utilities Authority (HMUA) is aware of a billing issue resulting in incorrect or missing “Penalty” credits/charges for the July 2025 billing cycle.
According to the HMUA, staff are working with the billing software provider to troubleshoot the problem and will provide updates as the issue is corrected.
“We respectfully request that any questions be held until the week of July 7th to allow us to work with our billing partner to correct the issue,” the HMUA said.
Customers who receive e-bills will see any changes to the “Total Due” updated automatically. Those who received a paper bill and believe they were charged incorrectly are asked to contact the office during the week of July 7 at (908) 852-3622.
