UPDATE: Missing Hackettstown 16-year-old girl found safe

UPDATE: Lila has been located safely and is in police custody, authorities said.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old girl reported missing in Hackettstown.

Lila G. Tisseverasinghe was last seen at her home around 10 p.m. on Sept. 15, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.

She is described as white, 5 feet 1 inch tall, about 170 pounds, with brown eyes and dark brown hair. Police said she may have been wearing a camouflage sweatshirt and light-colored pants.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3300.
