Hackettstown woman accused of supplying alcohol to minors at sleepover

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Hackettstown woman is accused of supplying alcohol to minors at a sleepover in Byram Township

On Sept. 28, 2024, police responded to a report from a concerned homeowner regarding an adult providing alcoholic beverages to juveniles at a sleepover, police said.

Upon arrival, officers observed several juveniles appearing intoxicated and some showing signs of illness due to alcohol consumption, police said.

The investigation revealed that Haliema Twam, 36, of Hackettstown had supplied the alcohol to the minors. As a result, she was charged with providing alcoholic beverages to underage person. She was released pending a court appearance, police said.
