Hunterdon County Business Hall of Fame to induct 4th class of honorees at November induction ceremony

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation has established the Hunterdon County Business Hall of Fame to honor the legacy of business leaders, organizations, and businesses that have made significant contributions to the community.

The fourth class of Hall of Fame laureates will be recognized during an induction ceremony at the Ryland Inn on Nov. 13.

“The Hunterdon County Business Hall of Fame celebrates the exceptional leadership and innovation that has shaped our county’s rich history,” said Chris Phelan, President of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation. “Through sharing the inspiring stories of the 2024 laureates, we hope to encourage future entrepreneurs to contribute meaningfully to our business community.”

The Business Hall of Fame is on display at the Foundation, located in the historic Reading-Large House in Flemington. A kiosk displays videos highlighting each honoree and their unique contributions to Hunterdon County.

The induction ceremony will commence at 6 p.m. at the Ryland Inn, 115 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse Station. Tickets are $200 each, with a silent auction featuring a variety of items. Sponsorships ranging from $500 to $5,000 are also available. This black-tie-optional event will offer hors d’oeuvres, elegant serving stations, beverages, and desserts.

2024 Hunterdon County Business Hall of Fame Inductees:

  • Gebhardt & Kiefer, P.C.: Pioneer Award – Recognizes businesses established 100+ years ago that brought growth, prestige, and industry to early Hunterdon County.
  • Edward J. Kurowicki: Distinguished Leader – Honors individuals who have significantly enhanced the community and fostered business-community partnerships through courageous thought, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Unity Bank and Stem Brothers: Contemporary Award – Recognizes a current, locally based business established within the last century that drives economic growth, prosperity, and innovation.
  • Hunterdon County Clerk the Honorable Mary H. Melfi and Raritan Valley Community College: Essence of Hunterdon Award – Celebrates individuals or organizations that enhance the community and encourage business-community partnerships through leadership and entrepreneurial initiative.

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation aims to mobilize the skills and resources of the Greater Hunterdon County business community to advance economic growth, workforce development, leadership, tourism, and philanthropic initiatives. The Foundation completed major renovations on the historic Reading-Large House in Flemington which is home to the Unity Bank Center for Business & Entrepreneurship.
