Hunterdon County Chamber celebrates ribbon cutting for Vibe Dance Academy

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week to celebrate the official opening of Vibe Dance Academy, a new arts and recreation studio located at 56 Payne Road.

The studio offers dance instruction and performance opportunities for students of all ages. According to its website, Vibe is “Clinton, NJ’s ultimate destination for dance… Step into a high-energy, professional, and welcoming space where passion meets movement, and every dancer shines.”

“Opening Vibe Dance Academy has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl,” said owner and director Danielle Portera-McCaig. “I’ve been dancing since the age of three, and creating a space where dancers feel inspired, supported, and celebrated is truly a lifelong passion come to life.”

Portera-McCaig said she hopes the studio will provide a supportive environment for dancers of all levels.

“I’m so excited to share my knowledge and professional experiences with our Vibe family. My goal is to build a community where every dancer—no matter their age or level—feels confident, encouraged, and part of something special,” she added.

Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Christopher J. Phelan praised the studio’s mission and impact.

“At the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, we celebrate enterprises that enrich our community, foster creativity, and bring people together. Vibe Dance Academy embodies these values — providing a space where children and adults alike can develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of dance. It’s exciting to see the energy and talent that this studio is bringing to Hunterdon County,” Phelan said.

Vibe Dance Academy offers classes in hip hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and acro, and welcomes dancers from Lebanon, Flemington, Clinton, Frenchtown and surrounding towns. The studio highlights four core values: confidence, passion, community and growth.

During the ribbon-cutting event, Chamber leaders formally welcomed the business, congratulated its team and toured the facility. Guests viewed class demonstrations, networked with local business owners and community members, and enjoyed refreshments.

The opening of Vibe Dance Academy adds to Hunterdon County’s cultural and business landscape by offering creative programming for youth and adults, fostering local entrepreneurship and supporting the Chamber’s mission to promote economic growth and community engagement.
