HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ – Hunterdon County Clerk Mary Melfi was honored with the prestigious “Essence of Hunterdon” award at the Hunterdon County Business Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony last month at the Ryland Inn.
Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren along with Sheriff Fred Brown and Prosecutor Renée Robeson were in attendance to honor the County Clerk.
Commissioner Van Doren and long-time friend of Ms. Melfi said, “Mary Melfi embodies the true essence of Hunterdon County. Her dedication to serving the community, her integrity and tireless efforts in public service have made a significant difference in the lives of countless residents. We are incredibly proud of her and this well-deserved award.”
The “Essence of Hunterdon” award recognizes individuals who exemplify the core values and spirit of Hunterdon County through dedication, service, and contributions to the community. Melfi has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the county, making a lasting impact through her leadership and unwavering dedication to public service.
The ceremony was a celebration of excellence, featuring business leaders, community members, and public officials who gathered to honor the outstanding achievements of local professionals.
Mary Melfi’s recognition was a highlight of the evening, as her peers and colleagues celebrated her many contributions to Hunterdon County.
Additionally, Melfi was honored on December 4th by the Hunterdon Health Auxiliary with the esteemed ‘2024 Lights of Love – Community Award’, highlighting her remarkable achievements and the outstanding contributions that have greatly benefited county residents.
Mary Melfi expressed her gratitude and reflected on her long career in public service, “It is an honor to receive these awards. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community, and I share this recognition with all those who have supported and worked alongside me throughout the years.”
