Hunterdon County Commissioner Soloway attends senior center holiday luncheon

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — Hunterdon County Deputy Director Susan Soloway recently attended the Hunterdon County Senior Center Holiday Luncheon, held at Razberry’s Banquet Hall on Wednesday, December 18.

The event brought together over 100 seniors for a memorable holiday celebration, complete with delicious food and lively music provided by DJ Jerry Castaldo. Attendees enjoyed a festive afternoon, dancing to a variety of holiday tunes and embracing the holiday spirit.

“I’m so glad to see such a well-attended holiday luncheon. This is a wonderful event and a great opportunity for our senior community to enjoy some festive fun this holiday season. Thank you to the Human Services staff for their hard work and to everyone involved in organizing this luncheon. I hope everyone enjoys themselves, and on behalf of the entire Commissioner Board, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” Soloway said.

In addition to the holiday festivities, Senior Center Supervisor Shalini Mathur reflected on highlights from the past year and programs that continue to be popular among seniors, including various fitness classes, a lecture series, trivia club, the Senior Prom, Murder Mystery theater, the New Jersey Symphony trip, and most recently, the Festival of Lights celebration.

All of the Senior Center’s programs are designed to introduce new ideas, experiences, and perspectives to the senior community, while exposing members to the rich multicultural diversity that makes up the community.

“On behalf of the entire Senior Center team, I would like to wish everyone a great holiday season and continued health in the coming year. It is your love and support that drives me, and I look forward to working with you all in 2025,” Ms. Mathur said.
