Hunterdon County Commissioner Soloway visits watercolor exhibit at historic courthouse

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Commissioner Susan J. Soloway recently visited an art exhibit by the Hunterdon Watercolor Society on display at the Historic Hunterdon County Courthouse in Flemington.

The exhibit features watercolor paintings created by members of the local arts organization, showcasing scenes that highlight the landscapes, landmarks and everyday life of Hunterdon County.

During her visit, Soloway toured the exhibit and spoke with artists about their work while viewing the collection of paintings.

“Hunterdon County is fortunate to have such a vibrant arts community,” said Commissioner Soloway. “The Hunterdon Watercolor Society’s exhibit is a wonderful example of the talent that exists right here in our community, and the Historic Courthouse provides a beautiful setting to showcase their work.”

The Hunterdon Watercolor Society is a group of local artists dedicated to watercolor painting. The exhibit offers visitors a range of artistic styles and subjects inspired by locations throughout the county.

The Historic Hunterdon County Courthouse regularly hosts rotating exhibits and cultural programs organized by the Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The programs are designed to provide residents and visitors with opportunities to experience local art, history and culture while visiting one of the county’s historic landmarks.
